On August 6, 2026, the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) conducted a field visit to PT Petro Oxo Nusantara (PON) to directly observe investment realization and the progress of Indonesia’s industrial downstreaming program, particularly through the Neopentyl Glycol (NPG) project.

The visit was conducted to obtain the latest information on PT Petro Oxo Nusantara’s investment realization, particularly the NPG project. During the visit, PT PON’s management provided a direct overview of the project’s development, covering its implementation progress and operational readiness.

Following the presentation, the visit continued with a tour of the NPG project facilities to gain a closer look at the production process and the development of the facilities that have been constructed. As one of the companies involved in the downstreaming of the oil and gas sector, PT PON, through the NPG project, contributes to strengthening Indonesia’s downstream industry and supporting investment realization, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

The NPG project not only adds value to Indonesia’s petrochemical industry but also generates a multiplier effect by strengthening the domestic supply chain, enhancing human resource competencies, and creating employment opportunities. It therefore forms part of the broader efforts to promote national industrial self-reliance, strengthen the petrochemical ecosystem, and create sustainable economic value for Indonesia.
