On Friday, August 7, 2026, Mr. Oki Muraza, Deputy President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), visited PT Petro Oxo Nusantara (PT PON) as part of a management walkthrough.

During the visit, the management of PT PON not only delivered a presentation but also conducted a direct site visit to PT PON’s Neopentyl Glycol (NPG) Plant. The plant is the first NPG plant in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, with a production capacity of 30,000 tons per year. The NPG plant was completed in July 2026, one month ahead of the originally scheduled target.

Mr. Oki Muraza expressed his appreciation for PT PON’s achievements in identifying opportunities for improvement and developing higher value-added products. Following the successful improvement of the Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) through CO₂ utilization, PT PON has now successfully completed the expansion of its NPG plant. This achievement is expected to inspire similar improvements across the Pertamina Group.

The introduction of PT PON’s new petrochemical product, NPG, is expected to support downstream industrial development, create export opportunities, reduce imports, generate employment opportunities, and continue to deliver greater added value to Indonesia.
